Rodeway Inn San Diego Near SDSU

Stayed 1 night and had a blast. One guy one girl and myself. We had a great time. Like to post a picture but it's not unrated. It's rated!! Big time.

We were concerned about some of the reviews we read a bout this Hotel but it right where we needed to stay and the price was extremely good.we booked it through our Capital One Shopping app and Priceline. We not only got s better price through the app but we are getting $9 back in rewards too.? The room was really nice for the price. It had a nice sized refrigerator, a coffee maker nice we sized, a microwave, an iron and even a bottle of shampoo and conditioner dispenser in the tub. My Boyfriend thought the room smelled musty but I think he just thought that because people said this in the reviews we read, I giant think it smelled musty to me, he bought some spray but I thought that was a waste of money. There was enough room next to the bed for a big night stand on each side of the bed plus more room on each side of them. There was what looked like a new tub. New shower curtain and SSD new stone walls around the tub. The air conditioner/heater looked new and worked great. The bed was comfortable. The Phillies. 5’4 of them were a little hard but we always bring our own pillows with us do that was ok. The rooms had newer paint but was an ugly dark color. The tv was a little small and set to the side of the bed on the wall and a little hard to watch lying down. It was ok though. It did have sattelite tv. Programming with a couple free movie channels snd lots of other feee channels. It was Directv if you know who they are. Then parking w as s good and free. There were NO roaches like some reviews stated.,there was some unexpected breakfast items. Coffee, Cereal, milk, orange juice, muffins and a make your own fresh waffle maker with butter and syrup. I would stay here again if ever needed. Maybe the Hotel was renovated recently over just got the best room in the place but it was nothing like the bad reviews we read about. The workers were nice too. This place was great especially for the price. All The extras were not expected. The remember you are not staying at a 5 star Hotel. If you want more then pay for a 5 star hotel. For an economy Hotel this place was fantastic. Oh. The red was even a small pool. I doubt it was heated though. Doppme more things there were light switches on each side of the bed and electrical outlets to charge your phone on each side of the bed. There was a little desk we pulled out and played games on while watching tv. There is a really nice place to watch cross the street called something like Del’s Hideout with really good home made food with good portions and home made dressings. The blue cheese was great!! Also a bar.

Decided to book this location because it was close to everything my son and I planned to do while on vacation in San Diego. The room we stayed in was superb. Very clean and modern. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I interacted with at least 4 different staff members and they were all very helpful, professional, nice, and very friendly. Great room for a great price! Will def stay here again!

Very relaxed area, amiable staff, and convenient area. The trolley station is nearby as well which was great. Housekeeping didn't keep trying to come in everyday which was a relief during this pandemic. My spouse and I have stayed at several hotels and we were both impressed. For a mere 2 star hotel, it sure felt like a higher rated experience. My only complaint is unrelated to the hotel & their policies but it was disappointing to see so many fake service dogs. If you lie about your dog being a service dog, you should be ashamed.

I was pleasantly surprised at the room I got at Roadway Inn. The price was so reasonable that I didn't expect the room to be so nice. And it was absolutely clean and in an area convenient to everything we needed to do. I will definitely stay there again when I am in San Diego. I was in room 104 with a king bed.

I loved my stay here. I was here for 9 days, and the staff was unbelievably kind and accommodating, especially Jennifer at the front desk. It's mostly quiet, the rooms are well maintained, the beds are SO comfy, and parking is good. Easy access to the 8, and there are quite a few grocery stores, gas stations & pharmacies within a 2 mile radius.

Great value for the money. Its not fancy but VERY CLEAN and has a fridge, microwave and coffer maker in the room. The sheets are so soft! Its 15 minutes to Sea World and the beaches! Very easy access off I-8. I was VERY happy with my stay here. HEADS UP! They require a $100 deposit BUT it has to be CASH!!! There's an ATM at the office, but in case it's down better to be prepared! You'll get deposit back if room is good. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING ON THE PROPERTY !
